300zx is the same 3.0L engine as in the maximas??

I assume you are talking about the '90-96 300ZX. Then no, that engine is a VG30DE(TT). The engine in your max is a VQ30DE, both V6's but different block. If you are talking about the new Z then kinda. It will have a 3.5 liter version of the current max engine.

No, the '92-94 SE's have the VE30DE, a whole different engine. Out of all the engines the Z is related to the VG30E in the 2nd gen and 3rd gen GXE's and 89-91 SE's. It's got a different head. and no you can't swap heads.
