for those interested in purchasing headers for the max, I was wondering if it was possible to fabricate the factory cat/s(whichever is removed), to fit the aftermarket manifolds from the engine for smog purposes?

 

Wouldn't that pretty much defeat the purpose of aftermarket headers then? You should still be able to pass emissions with headers, just a litlte harder.

 

just get a y-pipe then

 

well reason I ask is just for the smog test, since the cats are removed.
