Owners with LSD trannies

I was wondering if we needed some sort of maintenance on our VLSD transmissions? I've been told that the fluid in our VLSD unit eventually wears out or becomes less viscous during usage, resulting in less efficiency to lock up the differential gears. Or the HLSD owners that feature clutch packs, don't those things eventually wear down?

anyone know anything about this? thanks in advance.

When I replaced my tranny I used Amsoil and the LSD has worked flawlessly.

Yeah, I have Amsoil in mine from when MrGone and I did the clutch and flywheel. Amsoil has additives designed for VLSD. If you buy normal dino fluid I believe you are supposed to add VLSD additive. Maybe some other brands have the VLSD additive in it, too, but not sure which ones.
