1st time buyer Maxima - Head Leg Hip questions
Hello folks,
I'm out and about shopping for a used Maxima. I'm tall. 6 ft 4. I've been focusing on Maxima because:
1. I like the car's lines. ie. its visually cool.
2. I'm tall. 6 ft 4 and according to what I can find online Maxima has the best head leg hip room (ie roomiest) of the cars that I can afford.
3. The car always get great reviews.
Going to different dealerships and such I have now sat in 2001, 2002, and 2003 (and 2004 but thats out of the question) Maximas.
All the car specs show 2001-2003 Head Leg Hip being the same value with a little variation on the head room if you opt for no sunroof...is it my imagination or was there some difference in the location of the steering wheel/amount of tilt available between the 2001 and 2003 models? I had some difficulty with knee room on the 2001. I had tried out a 2003 a week earlier and didn't remember getting the knees crowded under the steering wheel.
Also, is there any change in cabin space based on whether the model you are in is Standard or Manual transmission??
Thanks.

I am 6'6 and have a 1998, 4th gen, and the leg and head room isn't bad at all once I get in. I've heard the 4th gens, 1995-1999 have the most room. I don't think you'll lose room over an auto/manual. With the sunroof I think that you lose some head room. Welcome to the org and good luck.
