How to get paid for racing.

All you have to do is win.

My first paycheck of the year. Need a whole lot more of these to help pay for the mods.

Want to make a small fortune racing? Start with a big fortune.

I will say one thing though, a whole lot of people are starting to notice what the Maxima is capable of, nice to have people come up and talk to you that are almost amazed at its capabilities.

Just wish I wasn't the only one there. Feel like a stranger in a field of Honda's.

It wasn't real pretty, believe me.

It was a hot muggy day and I wasn't running real fast n/a (13.8) so decided to take it easy on the poor beast. Tried a 50 shot and ran a 12.4 @ 108 but ran out of 3rd gear so decided to drop it down to 40, that netted a 12.6 @ 107 so dropped to a 30 and that netted a 12.5 @ 108. Thats about as low as I can go and it just hits the limiter so left it there for the eliminations.

I dialed a 12.6 and just hit good lights and backed off as soon as I was sure I had the win. Nothing fancy just kept it simple.

As soon as I get a good day where I am running 13.5's again n/a I will bump it up to 150-200 shot and see what it will really do but thats just for bragging rights, not necessary to win races.

I was all by myself so no vids just timeslips. Didn't even get a pic of me getting the trophy.

DSMJim (my Son) usually comes and races but his wife is the video person and she hasn't come out for the last 2 or 3 events. Hopefully she will on the 15th which is the next big race.

I installed the Maximizer a couple of weeks ago and still tuning it but its great just wish it wasn't so expensive to get that kind of control over the nitrous. Its much easier on the drivetrain because you can ramp the shot, delay, rpm cutoff etc. Probably won't give me faster times but it will make for longer life of the engine and trans.

I am going this week to get a set of tires for my millenia rims for a king of the street shootout as well on the 15th of Aug. Have to run full interior and street tires (no DR's). Having the ability to ramp the nitrous will really help the traction issue.

They don't allow burnouts, glue or tree and no timeslip. Start is by a Hooter girl. They have 2 people posted at the end of the 1/4 to determine the winner and turn the win light on.

That's gotta wreck havoc with RT's. I'd be happy with <5 sec.
