how fast can u go?

What is the fastest speed you can "get away with?"

--as i...your wife is having a baby, so u turn on the emergency flashers and go down the interstate. How fast can you go without getting in trouble? Im sure you will get in trouble going 130, even if it is an emergency.

If your wife is having a baby, trust me bro, you dont want to risk going really really fast or else the baby might not be the only emergency.. Either call the ambulance, or go at a responisble speed... Better to be safe then sorry...

You can go the speed limit and get pulled over with "flashers"

Like others said, there can be more than the baby as an emergency...

Why would you risk your wife's, baby's, and your own life to get there quickly....I'd rather let it be born in a maxima and call it Max.

Actually, my son's name is Max.

He also likes our Maxima the best. He likes it because the radio is blue (Alpine 9807).

Dang, I remember nights with my friends we'd all come down I-90 doing over a 120, just cruising. And I've done about 130 in my Max, speedo ends at 125 so I'm not to sure what I was doing.

Here's something to think about, this was a line up one night of me and a couple of friends.

Rusty - 91 Sentra
Me- 02 Frontier
Eric - 86 Rx7

Cruising at 115, weird sight huh? A truck between 2 cars, flying down the interstate.

But of course, in the middle of freaking no where like South Dakota. There's not much else to do unless you like 4 wheeling. And my truck being 2wd, i'm not taking it 4 wheeling.

That explains it... all teenagers think you can speed if you're having a baby

There is *no* time you can speed and legally get away with it. There are special cases where the police may be delayed in giving you a ticket, but nobody is (supposed to be) above the law.

If somebody is dying in your back seat and you clock 95 in a 70 I think it would be a small matter to get the ticket removed.

Anyway, in regards to babies we had our first 9 days ago. It was 1 am on a Sunday morning and I drove at around 80-85 in a 70. I passed a trooper at 84 and he pulled somebody else over. Contrary to the belief of many that when a woman's water breaks the baby pops out, most people are in labor for many, many hours. The only reason I sped was because a) I always do and b) "just in case", plus the car was uncomfortable. We spent 45 minutes before leaving the house after her water broke anyway, so generally there is no reason to rush to a hospital because of a baby

Wouldn't that be a little messy? Hope you scotchguard the seats first.

At that point, the last thing you'll be worried about is the car getting messy... unless you drive a $50k+ show car... which you'd probably be smart enough to take the other car in that case.

Here's a recent story about this topic
http://www.nbc13.com/family/3596912/detail.html

"There's no exception that allows a motorist under stress to endanger the lives of themselves or others on the roadway,"

Just avoid having kids and life will be grand..
