AC Blower motor

AC Blower motor
I have a 01 SE Max, the AC, vents, defrost, etc.. has been cuting on and off. Could it be the fuse? Any help would be appreciated.
BTW I hate to ask but do I need to disconnect the battery when replacing a fuse
, or just make sure the car is off.

Turns out all '00 and '01s have bad fan motors. They are a brush motor and the brushes go bad. A way to tell if the fan is bad is it will make a whinning noise or turn on and off when you heat or a/c is on.
Very simple do-it-yourself fix. Remove the glovebox, unhook the airbag wired from the glovebox door(don't disconnect the bag connector!), there are three screws holding the fan in along with a quick disconnect.

As for the fuse. Leave the battery alone. Use the plastic fuse puller that is in the fuse door.
