A/C compressor clutch help??
anyone change their clutch on their A/C compressor before???
did you do it or have a shop do it??
why did u replace it?? was the A/C compressor making a really loud whining noise while your car was idling??
if i have a shop discharge my A/C system is the clutch hard to replace???

I am having the same problem with mine. I sprayed some lithium grease into it and it quieted down a bit. I believe you can just replace the clutch pulley, which is more than 300 dollars IIRC.

I just got mine replaced for a used one. cost me 350 bucks total.
and yes, it did make a loud noise from the passeger side. got scared for a little bit.
get it replaced, if you dont, your belt may shred and it will be more expensive to replace. its only louder because when your A/C compressor goes out, all the other clutches are working harder to keep it running. fix asap.

pick up a clutch assembly from a parts store or something. many places can get them other than the dealer and they're much much less.
either that or pick up a used compressor at the junkyard. If you get a year of use out of it for $50, IMO it's worth it instead of bending over for an OEM unit.
