What kinda Y-pipe?? what did you do?? I had some dash rattles at first, but when I jacked up the car again, I noticed that the pipe was touching the underbody, I repositioned the mounts and it went away. Try disconnecting your battery for a few hours and see if the check engine light goes away. My .02...

dash rattles

I have some dash rattles and I know that it is that black piece of plastic in front of the speedometer/cluster gauge...I notice that when I push it back in toward the gauges it would be more rattles, but if I were to pull it out towards me as hard as I could it would eliminate the dahs rattles--anyone else have a similar problem? can anyone recommend a fix? I have tried putting some foam in there which didn't help too much? any additional ideas?
these rattles drives me bonkers when I drive over unsmooth surfaces and or brideges...ie...the williamsburg where there is metal...

btw, there sounds like a clinging loose noise in my passenger side door? anyone else with that?

heheh

Alright, here's what I did. There are two bolts that hold the isolation mounts on, one on each side. The pipe is rubbing on the right if you have the same prob I did. What I did was take a few washers and I stacked them up under the rubber mount, then put the bolt back in and tightened it down. This was not an entirely easy feet, as I was doing it by myself and the "flex" line was not very flexible. My recomondation is to get a friend to help push it over for you. I have an a$$load of washers at work, so I just tried a few till I found ones that fit, so I don't know the exact size you need. It was making a horrible grinding sound before I did this, and I recomend you fix yours ASAP as it will likely be taking the paint off and starting to wear into the sheet metal. I'm going to try taking the washers back out in a week, to see if the flex line will mold to the proper spot or not. Good luck, any more Questions feel free to email, I'll answer when I can. mtrai760@aol.com. Good Luck. Matt
