Custom 2 piece rotors

I made the mistake of buying the AP/Stillen big brake kit with the 1 piece rotors. I mailed precision brake company one of my old rotor and they were able to custom cut two new hats for me. With 2 piece, the weight saving is worth the extra $$$.

Saved about ~5lbs each side. I forgot to weight it so I don't know the exact number.

How do you like them in terms of performance? Any more brake noises from the rotors being slotted/drilled?

It was not too bad. I called Stillen first and they wanted $1200 for two new 2 piece rotors. With PBC, when all said and done. It was $600.

I don't get them hot enough to see the added performance. I did it mainly for the weight saving. I'm breaking them in with old pads so I'm getting some swoosh swoosh noise coming from the right side. I think it's the uneven surface of the pads. Hopefully it will go away in few days.

Cool, I'm thinking of getting crossdrilled/slot rotors for my car....still deciding on whether to do a BBK, but I think it might be overkill.

Yeah...I go to shows that are judged by NCCA
http://www.nationalcustomcarassociation.com and it's worth extra 5 points to have graphics on the car.

They look nice - how much will the weight savings help? How much lighter are they?

I always wanted to get two piece rotors like around the same size as stock but alittle bit bigger. That would fit in a 15 inch rim.
