Hello Gents,
I have just purchased a Blue 02 Auto. GLE with 60,000miles. The car is much quicker than I thought it would be, which is really nice since I just got rid of a 622rwhp Harley Davidson F-150 truck. Anyway, is there anything specifically that I need to look at changing--items that are notorious for breaking?

Thanks for the welcome and the advice. First thing I did was put a new set of Toyo's on the car. Next, even though the car is a 2002, the beautiful Majestic blue paint has a lot of chips and scratches, so my best friend (who owns a body shop in Charlotte) will be repainting the entire car to satisfy my need for perfection. I have already ordered the upper and lower grills from Grill-Tech to replace the stock ones, and am looking at possibly changing the wheels--although I love the stock GLE 7 spoke rims. Not too sure I am going to do anything for performance, as I had my fill with the truck.

Along with my Miximas I own a 96 GMC Yukon. You'll enjoy the fact that these vehicles will last for a long long time. I wouldn't think that you'd have to change the plugs prior to 100K.
My 03 is totally stock as no mods are needed to consistantly drive fast and smoothly.
Welcome to the org.

Might want to keep an extra MAF sensor in the glove box. Those seem to go out on the 3.5's every now & then. Other then that get rid of the pontenza tires, they are dangerous & hydroplane like none other.
