Went out to the nightclub and there was a Lamborghini Diablo GT in front. If I'm not mistaken it runs maybe just under 400 grand and has over 550 hp and does over 200 mph. Inside was one of the b-ball players with his entourage. I'm not small, say about the size of a NFL quarterback, but this dude was at least a foot taller than I (skinny though). I bet nobody on this bbs will ever drive a monster of a car like that in their lifetimes! Was nice to take a close look at something one can't have. Even in the auto show it'd be all roped off. This was the real deal.

The last 2 fancy cars I saw were a Ferrari 360 a few weeks ago (big deal, only 150K *lol*) and a Bentley convertible. When you spend over 300 grand on a car, I'd hope your salary would be at least 10 mil or something. It's one thing to overextend oneself, ie make only 70 grand and blow 40 on a car, but in reality, it's pretty ludicrious to spend 300 grand on something to drive. There are plenty of people who earn 70 and drive a 1994 car--I work with them. Then again, a DC hockey player just got fined 61 grand for elbowing last week, there's 1/5 of the Lambo down the drain!

The best car I saw was a Mclaren, I wish I had a camera!

GT or VT?

One of the guys at the studio I work at has a Dark Purple VT. One of only 6 in the country. Dang that ride is tight! He even let me sit in it.... wow. He even said it wasn't as stiff as he thought it would be. He wouldn't let me try it out tho...

Saw a Diablo last night...

bright yellow. I think it was Tim Couch (Cleveland Browns QB) One night in the Flats (part district), I saw a Pearl GT/VT parked among a few 911s and a Viper. Wow.

Okay here's my input...

I saw a red Lotus Espirit V8 (twin-turbo) on the Belt Parkway, definitely much hotter in person than any picture could ever depict. Also got road killed by some old guy in a Ferrari 308 GTS on 87 North. I punched it at about 80 in my fathers 95 Mazda 929 (kinda miss that car) and he blew by me like I was in reverse then took the next exit flat out (even kicked up some dirt, how much off ramp he was using).

Other than that just a slew of NSX's in Brooklyn. I thought these things were expensive!?!?

Oh and I cant forget the new 911 Turbo I pass at every so often in Manhattan, in a parking garage near Madison Square Garden. The guys usually park it up front, it looks so hot. Black, with slits everywhere. I almost get a stiffy when I walk past this car. Definitely hot!!!!

Just one note... if you look at the number of people here who are around 18-25 and driving modded maximas that they have paid for themselves; I would guess that atleast a few of us here are on track for any car we want.

Baddest car I ever saw

was a 1995 Ferrari F-50, used it was worth $750,000 dollars.
The engine was carbon fiber for gods sakes. Perfect red paint job and everything. Anyone in or near ATL should go to the Ferrari Challenge May 12-13th at Road Atlanta in Greenville, the guy that was at the Ferrari Dealership I went to in ATL said there should be 1 or 2 F-50s at the Ferrari Challenge. I'm going and it should be tight!! Hope to see some Maximas in the parking lot there too

we used to pass in front a pizza shop where a red Ferrari 550 Maranello was parked right on the curb...droool.

Slews of NSXs? Slews of V-12 Benzes...look what oil $ can do.

I remember someone telling me that one of those Diablo's is not real, like it just has the body or some **** but inside the car is something else? Sounds kinda stupid, but I heard it from a few different kids. Is this true?

saw a Viper being repaired

at a body shop today. Looked like it was fiberglass or something because the hood was missing the emblem and had a hole in the material. This shop seems to be always working on late gen Vettes. Somehow I don't think those sports cars will be too good when they come out of the shop. The shop is probably just making bucks, buying low/selling high. See several Maximas too, must be profitable to fix em up.

Actually I think that's the old Viper. The first gen viper has a single piece hood and front fenders. The new Viper has a conventional hood so it is lighter and cheaper....

IIRC
