- Can anyone tell me where I can buy the transition piece that replaces the stock oil filter. It's basically a glorified pipe that installs where the OEM oil filter is so that you can run an oil line to an oil cooler. The only problem is that the part is almost always model specific (meaning that it will only fit on Nissan Maxima, Honda Accord, Chevy Tahoe, etc.) so its not like we can pick it up at Pep Boys, or anything (I think).
- Thanks for your help. ;-)

Hmmmm, I'm currently planning out my oil cooler set-up and have found that JC Whitney has some of the parts that I was looking for, you might want to check them.

I just got an oil filter relocation kit for my Alty at Summit Racing. It includes, of course, the cast aluminum adapter part you are talking about, along with mutiple threaded bushings to duplicate the female threads of most oil filters. One of those works for my 97 Alty, so probably your Max, too. The cars may share oil filters - I know the air filters are the same.

P.S. - I got a similar kit that splices into your auto trans fluid cooler line to add a external filter.
