My 99 max. failed the emmission test yesterday, inspection in pennsylvannia. The mechanic said that his computer was not communicating with the car. I am supposed to drop off the car so he can work on it. I then noticed the oil pressure gauge flicker, had the oil changed. two hours later oil guage still came on, especially when i stop. Car seems to run fine but indicator alarms me. What should I be looking for? Your help is appreciated.

 

Not sure why the communications didn't work.

Replace your oil pressure switch, it's located by the oil filter, it's a common problem.
