Any of you leasing a maxima?

My dad's 03 Camry SE got stolen this week and he will be looking for another car. I am convincing him to look at the 04/05 maximas and I wanted to know if any of you are leasing and how much is your monthly payment. We wanna lease because we had 2 cars that we financed and they ended up being stolen. I think its less of a headache if we lease a car then finance it. Also the lower monthly payments for leasing helps a great deal. So any one leasing a maxima out there?

I didn't think you could lease cars in NY?
Don't they have some rule against that?

What you will pay for your monthly lease depends on just how good a negotiator your Dad is. Leasing costs are no different than purchasing a car.

First negotiate a "price for the vechicle" then negotiate a rate which will depend in large part on your credit rating.

Most people just go in and say can I lease this for 2 years at xxx per month and do not realize how badly thay are getting ripped when they do that.

Yes, you can still lease in NY. Its called "smart buy" or some crap like that. Instead of giving you a "buy out" option, its called a "baloon payment" which you dont have to pay for if you dont want to keep the car. (the new version of Leasing) only in NY of course.

I saw on the a maxima/morano ad on TV that you can lease the max for 319.

I went with a finance instead of leasing. Either way, you're still throwing money towards them!

That's right!!

Save up your money, pay cash for the car, drive & maintain the thing for 10 years and you'll get your money's worth.
