Test Drive
well i drove around in a rental 2004 Maxima SE auto and id say i have my pros and cons of the car
Pros:
1.Beautiful interior
2.Acceleration is awesome beautiful VQ engine
3.Ride is excellent
4.looks is starting to grow on me
5.Love the wide windscreen
6.Braking system nice
7.Nice sound system though stock not BOSE though
8.i like the manushift mode
Cons:
1.Oversteer is horrible
2.Handling isnt the best
3.Rear view isnt the best sitting position takes a while to find
these are the few things i noticed just for the short while i had it if i had it longer i would do a real test drive state to state.In my own opinion the car is a good 4door sedan with lovely performance stats but the car is heavy when it comes to handling first performance mods i would perform on that car would be full suspension upgrade(rear sway bar,front strut tower bar,lowering suspension kit) power is there but exhaust sounds lame but all of these are my own opinion and ill stick to my 4th gen for now maybe a fifth later

SE, SL?
for me from driving SL 6 spd
pros
engine HP and torque (acceleration with 6spd is awesome compared to my 190hp
HID
Seats
Sound system
cons
handling-boat with soft suspension= nono
torque steer
not digging the hard plastics of the dash, orange lighting, overall design.
shifter- too light for my tastes.. then again I am used to the B&M
Headlight design and rear 1/4 design. Not "sharp" enough for my tastes. I wish it was sharper angled like the Z but not AS sharp.
My take: 4dsc is dead. avg expected age of buyer >40

Ok i drove it again taking a break from work
Road noise over 80mph is horrible even mine isnt that bad
Still kudos on the acceleration torque steer still in there steering is small
took a look under the hood to change any of the bulbs in the headlamp yu have to take out the whole assembly to change them out lovely trunk space still dont like sittin position
