Help Please!!! Car won't start...
#1
My car finally let me down for the 1st time. Here's the scenario: For a while, to start the car I've had to push the key extra hard and hold it. Tonight, it won't start at all. Accessories all work, battery is good, etc., just won't turn over no matter how hard I press on the key. I think it is the ignition switch, so I took it apart, cleaned up the contacts, and tried it again. Still won't turn over, but I see sparks inside the switch. So my question is, am I right? Is it the switch? Could it be the starter? As always, your help is much appreciated.

ummmm i dont know if ur having the problem i had b4..but..when my starter messed up on me,
my car would either have a hard time starting or
it wouldnt even make the "starter" noise..i would turn the key and basicly nothing would happen. so what i did was...
i got a wrench and tapped my starter(gently)and vroom my engine started
if ur gonna get ur starter fixed by the way..dont get overchargered..ive heard about people spending lots of cash...when really it should only cost at the most 200 with labor and all..hopes this helps u out in some way

When you say you had a hard time starting your car, do you mean that the starter would go and the car wouldn't start? I hope I don't have to replace the starter...

Turned out both the starter and the switch were bad. Luckily, Autozone had a rebuilt starter for $140, and the switch was only $30. 2 hours later, everything is good again. Thanks for the help.
