Is anyone happy with the sound of their Dynomax or Magnaflow mufflers?

I am going to have a custom cat-back system made, since I don't want to spend $300-500 on a manufactured one. I'll be putting it on behind a Y-pipe and am looking for something louder than stock, but not super loud.

I am looking at the magnaflow or dynomax mufflers, but I have not heard of many people that like them. Has anyone figured out ways to make them sound better? (longer model muffler? longer resonator, etc?)

Any recommendations would be appreciated...

magnaflow SS with the double/walled tip is my setup.

doesn't drone on the highway, is not obnoxiously loud, and I get compliments from passengers and parking attendants all the time. I have a y-pipe too.

I have the double walled tip Magnaflow SS with a long magnaflow resonater.. it is nice I like the sound, little loud at times but I think that is my intake more then anything (going stock at some point to fix this). Nice rumble at startup and I think it just completes the rear end of the car. Especially after seeing a couple of maxes with the civic circular mufflers which just dont seem to look right on our car compared the the ovals.

I have the Magnaflow #14842 RS muffler. It's really deep and sounds great. It sounds pretty cool on startup and shutdown. And for being a canister muffler, it don't look to bad on the car. It tends to drone a bit since i'm an autotragic, and is a bit loud at times when i don't want it to be, but otherwise it's pretty nice. I'd like to find a silencer for it when i want to cruise a bit quieter since it looks like it takes one.

I like my dynomax superturbo...resonated b-pipe is a must so it's not annoyingly loud.

i had custom b-pipe w/ magnaflow SS muffler. the setup is very quiet, nice growl between 2-3k.

...but it rusted... so i upgraded to greddy sp2 catback. IMO just go for OBX/greddy catback cuz it's completely SS.

I got the Warpspeed Catback with the MagnaFlow. Its alright...Kind of seems too loud for the car at times. The Shop that put it on messed it up so I have a nice sized leak, I'm sure that makes a difference. I'm thinking about switching to a Borla muffler, and if all else fails I'll go with the Greddy or Apexi.
