What is your opinion on Optima Batteries?

Anybody have them in their car? How good are they, because I have heard a lot of good stuff from them, but I just wanted to know if it was worth it. Gimme some feedback, thanks!

I have a yellow top.. it works.

Don't expect a miracle, it's just a battery. It may take more abuse and still start up though. Try and find a good price on it, I got mine at cost. (about half retail). You probably won't find a deal like that, but try and shop around.

My dad has an yellow top optima in his 97 max. It looks really good inside the engine bay. My mom left the lights on in the car once and drained the battery and it still works perfect.

Red Top. $109 from Auto Zone. Worth $109? Maybe not, but it looks good and works great.

There supposed to be pretty good but there are other Dry cell battery manufactures out there it really comes down to name recognition. Depending on what your into the redtop should be fine but if you have a pretty heavy stereo system your going to need a yellow top. I bought an optima with the intention of replacing my 5 year old stock battery but the nissan battery still lives. so the optima stays in my room.for best prices ebay or sears will match autozones $109 and you will get an extra 10% off.

Well I'll be the first one to say, I had a bad experience with my Optima (Red Top). A little over a year since I bought it, the battery was cutting out on my randomly. Meaning sometimes my car would start perfectly and other times it was DEAD. Got it tested and it went bad. I was dissapointed, but Optima gives you a great warranty so it was replaced free of charge.
