i bought a spec stage 1, about 9 months ago. its a great clutch! the break in period is 500 miles or more, and drive it easy ( i cant stress this enough). cuz if you get carried away before the "break in period" is over, then you'll have a pleasant drive with alot of clutch fumes. and i dont know about u but i cant stand the smell of clutch.

hey sean, sorry for the late reply on this. i've been back home from college for the holidays, and i dont have access to a computer most of the time.
well i'll have you know that i just recently swapped my spec clutch with the exedy organic stage 1. my spec had been slipping at every high rpm shift and i couldnt take it anymore. the spec clutch was a great street clutch and lets leave it at that. why did the clutch start slipping on me so soon, well probably b/c 1) i was already pounding on it before it was fully broken in, and 2) i had no experience in driving a stick before that tranny swap. before the clutch was slipping i praised that clutch, b/c i loved the stiffer feel in the pedal as oppose to my friends 94 Integra pedal, or my other friends 97 240sx pedal. now i just installed a new fidanza flywheel, and a stage 1 organic exedy, but my car wont start up. it turns over but the plugs arnt sparking up. i think it has something to do with my neutral-position switch, i might have blown the wireing.
if your looking for a good street clutch to just "cruise" around in, and race in a straight line every chance you can, i'd say go for it. but if you race more around the streets then you "cruise", i'd say go with the Spec Stage2 Kevlar Disc. i hear that the pedal is slightly stiffer then stage 1 but not much, the kevlar disc will LAST LONGER then any organic disc, and will still have the street reliability. my first intension was to buy the Stage 2 after the stage 1 started slipping, but since i have so many miles on the engine, and hail damage all over the body, i just needed something to get the slip out before i get a different car. well i hope this helped you make your desicion, and happy holidays! CHEERS!

I'm running on the 5th gen. clutch set-up and love it so far...I've put about 160 miles on it, love the feel of the pedal. Fairly inexpensive also, except for labor...
Anyways, I'm just waiting for the big 500 mark, but since it's snowing and **** up in the Northeast, it doesn't look like I'll be able to really run it to about March or so. Good luck.
