I am new to the site,thanks for having me.please forgive me if I'm not in the right area,I honestly searched a lot of the threads(pages) for the past couple days,we have a 2000 Maxima,we tried 4th-5th generations instructions and had no luck getting a code to come up... we also didn't have any luck resetting the computer..the car didn't even acknowledge that I was there....we tried a lot of different combinations too.. gas pedal to the floor,shifting in gear,I couldn't find a AT light....I have a service engine soon.It's been on a while and inspection will be do in a few months,new law in New York..if anybody could steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated..the dealer wants to hit me over the head $$$...thanks BTBG

 

Did you try going to autozone and getting them to pull the codes. Also do you have a mechanic that you usually go to, im sure they can also pull the codes and do the neccessary work for a lot cheaper then the dealer. good luck.

 

the service station I use,scanned it once,but,I don't think he knew exactly what the codes ment,he's not really the import mechanic...I don't think I have an auto zone by me..I will look though..pep boys, napa and advanced auto is pretty muck it around here. thanks for the auto zone info..BTBG
