G-teck vs. track tonight>>>
#1
It was off by .3 and 3mph over(because its your true speed).
Here are the times. I used the NOS from 2nd gear on only so I would not spin outin first gear, cause the track sucked tonight.
14.57@94.68 G-teck 14.89@97 0-60 6.33
14.51@94.93 G-teck 14.80@97 0-60 6.25
14.56@95.92 g-teck 14.84@97 0-60 6.30
Not off by much.

Actually your trapspeed is your speed at the end of the 1/4. Its no different if you were to measure it with 60ft or 5ft traps. I believe from what you posted that the Gtech times were 3 tenths higher. Usually Gtech reads 1-3 tenths lower and 3-6mph higher. Now you know that your car does 0-60 in the 6.0-6.2 range, not bad .

This matches some of my own testing with the G-tech. I used the G-tech on the same road in 3 different cars. The greater amount of lift and dive in a car, the more accurate it seems to read. It tripped the end of a 1/4 mile 200 ft later in my Saleen than in my CRX. The bottom line is that is doesn't work for trying to get accurate numbers, but it will give a realistic indication of the change that different modifications will make on a vehicle if it tested each time in the same conditions.

I have a 97 auto with moddified intake and Stillen y-pipe with catback and rt cat. I run a 40"shot" dry kit from NOS. I don not usaully hit the nos till top of first gear or even second. My best time is 14.09@96 on my 17s but I have ran 14.3@98 on some ****ty 15s. So with a NOS controller and some BFG's I will be in the 13s.

That's impressive, mostly because its an auto. What at your 60' times and what is the best time you have run without NOS (if you know)?

I thought they measure the MPH at two points, at the 1320' mark and another location before that and average it out. It's not the actual trap speed when you cross the line.
