Do the 5th gens have fold down rear seats? And has anyone tried it?

The 4th gen doesn't have fold down rear seats...just a pass-through in the middle...

Sorry to be misleading. I have a 4th gen and already knew it didn't have fold down rear seats. I'm curious to know if it is even at all possible and whether anyone has tried? I will try to be more clear on my posts in the future. Thanks for the feedback though.

Just to add to edadams...the seats do fold down but it's still a hole to access the back. Just a larger hole than the 4th gen.

Theoretically it is possible to have a fold down rear seat, but you might lose some structural integrity. The rear seat would first need to be attached in a different manner, because the hangers and bolts wouldn't work if it was on a hinge. Once you rigged a new attachment system, you'd have one more obstacle. See, the piece that goes in back of the back seat seems to be a structural reinforcement, although it can be unbolted. When unbolted, there is a large hole for access to the trunk from the cabin. If you leave it out, the car may flex a bit more (I really don't know). So to answer, it's possible, but it would take a bit of custom work.
