wow went from a bmw back to a max, hmm usually its the other way around. but a fellow .orger is always welcome back. anyways, my .02 about springs vs. coilovers. i think you should base your descision on how serious you are about your car, your cars handling, and your cars future. since you have a 99 with reletivly low miles your probably going to want to hang on to this car for awhile. so if your in it for the long haul then i would say to do it right the first time and spend a little more to get real coilovers i.e. D2s or JICs. if you do hang on to this car for awhile youll be thanking yourself 5 years down the road for having spent the extra money originally for the better product.
ya i miss the bimmer kindoff but it was to boring for me , it was auto and only a 528.
In a few years i am still planning on getting an M3 or a 540 6spd...
Im trying to get some info on the D2group deal right now, if everything seems good and i can hoop on the GD then im doing it. It just seems like the wait is kindof long...

why will i regret getting a 99?
I wanted a 4th gen cause i like the look better than the 5th, but i wanted low miles.
No i had a 97 maxima- it got stolen
got a 96 maxima, moded it- sold it
bought a bimmer and got bored of it - sold it
got a 99 max and love it

The bimmer was 14k, not 20 and i paid for all of it except i owed my rents around 1500 still when i sold it.
