open your widows
Add this to your regular maintanence, open your windows.
I recently opened my rear windows, for the first time in a while and one was stuck. It took a little while to get it to open and close and one is still running slow. Looks like I may have to open the door and use a little oil.

It's a good idea that you should open the window often, otherwise if it hasn't been open in sometime, the motor will seized since how else do you keep the lube going around the pully cable. I agree with theMax since it could get stuck or the motor operate slolwly. I don't think it's the quality as those of you who mention it. It just like if you never ran the engine for a year, then the engine gonna seized up if you started it up without any lube ever flowed around the block.

I agree, the newer cars don't compare to the quality back in the day. We had an 86 Max wagon, and it was the best car...310k miles and going strong on that sucker..We got rid of it a few years ago...but man was the car solid, so reliable...Not that my Max isn't, but I loved that car. No little rattle probs, brakes, window rubber lining..it just didn't have all of the tiny probs my max does.

I agree with quality going down also , but I also remember replacing 3 out of the 4 window regulators on my 89 max.

I don't think it is the cold weather, but it may have made the problem worse. It almost seems like the windows get stuck in the weatherstripping. Maybe its not a quality issue with the motors but a stickier weather stripping?
