OH my Fu#$%ng God this car is a Beast it pulls so hard I can't beleive the Tourque is unbelievable I started in first and punched it Part throttle and the wheels were already spinning and I couldn't hang on it was going right and left tourque steer like a **** I got scared and let off the throttle damn I don't wana abuse it to soon I'll just take it easy for now. There are no cel's and the car sounds fine except for a slight clanky noise comming from I think the Tranny but I can't tell I guess I have to be patient and just listen to the motor and make sure everything is intact. PICS VIDEOS COMMING SOON...

That looks awesome man. I need to get some more power out of my ride...lol I'm looking between this and some sort of forced induction...lol or the other option would be to buy a lightning...hmmm

japmax's set up is def worth it, and although lightning's are pretty hot, it would be more impressive to be spanked by a max than a lightning just my .02

nice work. Did you decide to go with the 3.0 heads to utilize the mevi or de-k manifold? What is the general compression ratio you have now with the 3.0 heads.

thats for sure ! could you imagine getting your can kicked by a maxima when your not expecting it ? my max isnt even fast but have had so many people looking around for nitrous, turbo , anything to explain it ! now if you get beat by a lighting you say o well, i expected as much ! lol

the 4th gen nissan maxima sleeper status will soon be legendary !

Well right now I'm just waking up from my nap. Now I'm going for a good nice long ride, I'll take some closer pics and Tomorrow I'll have the camcorder ready for action. BTW I notice my car sounds really deep now deeper then before, Tilley did you notice the different tone in your engine?

Yeah...well someone brought up another point, it seems like its practically drop in, but how do you get around the issue of the throttle cable being drive by wire on the 3.5 ?

Japmax is using an MEVI I believe. So I think he is using eihter a stock TB or another cable driven TB.

you still use the 3.0 tb on the hybrid. on the full 3.5 swap, the tb needs to be modified.... tilley made the 3.5 tb on mine into a cable driven

or something like that

If I am not mistaken, the 3.5 bottom + 3.0 top raises compression to 11:1 so a turbo is getting scary at that compression.

I am thinking that 3.5bottom/3.0heads w/ 00VI - Cams, Headers, Exhaust, Intake, would be an awesome street machine/daily driver.

If you want to go turbo, do the exact opposite. I.E. keep your 3.0 block (stronger than a 3.5 block, better for turbo) and drop 3.5 upper end on your 3.0 block (heads and intake manifold). You get more aggressive cams, better valvetrain, much better flow and a compression ratio of 8.9:1. Perfect for boost.

Actually i wouldnt say the block is stronger, rods maybe but from comparing the 2 the 3.5 has bigger rod journals which means a stronger crank. Also i think the 3.5 crank is more solid than the 3.0 IMO considering the 3.0 has a oil journal through it all the way too the crank pulley but the 3.5 doesnt. Performance motorsports says the 3.5 block is good for 2k HP compared to the supra JZ engine thats only safe too around 1600 HP.

Just curious, I haven't been around in awhile. Which ECU's are you guys using to control these hybrid setups? The stock one, or a 3.5 ECU?

4th gen, but youre better off with the jwt 95-96 ecu for higher rev limiter

That's interesting. But the z guys seem to be blowing theirs up at a lower HP # than the 3.0.

Most of the z problems are due too weak rod bolts and rods.
