Grandmothers car?

I hope this doesn't get deleted as I need a little info. My Grandmother was over today and when she went to leave her car started sputtering and then died. 1998 Dodge Stratus. I looked at her air filter and sure enough it was clogged with leaves and dirt. I got into an argument months ago about changing her spark plugs, but she kept insisting that her mechanic said they were fine. I used to have a 98 stratus and they go through plugs pretty quick. Anyway, I changed them out and I've never seen such chared plugs. Gap was supposed to be .050, they were all .063 (old plugs) As I pulled out the last plug, I noticed that it was coated with oil. It was the only plug to have this. What do you think the problem is?

So did you replace the air filter or not? If so, did it help anything? If not, do that first thing and see if the problem is solved/helped.

The air filter was replaced. I'm worried that some seals are broken.

If you have oil on your spark plug then something is bleeding over. Which obviously isn't good.

2.4L inline 4. The oil was sitting on the ring on the plug, not the electrode.

Although the links don't really answer my question, they did provide me with some very good reading.

Thanks everyone. I'm about to take the car in to find the source of the oil leak.
