just bought a 91 maxima and relized the horn doesnt work . can anyone tell me the price range to fix a horn?

 

Well, its not exactly a common thing for the horn to go out. So I doubth your gonna get much replys on this. Either way its only a horn, just go to a shop & get an estimate.

 

on a side note....my friend works with fire trucks and some of his buddies have fire truck horns on their pick up trucks.....i found it quite amusing

 

Just check the horn circuit to see if there is power going to the horn wires when you press the horn button. You might just need a new horn relay or new horns.

Have you checked to see if your security system works? One of your horns should sound if you open a locked door from the inside or outside without using the key. Just look for the fuses and relays in your fuse box and relay boxes. There may be more than one fuse for the horns. There should also be a vehicle security system relay and a horn relay located inside your underhood boxes. My 02 has 3 different relays under the hood, 1 horn fuse and 1 vehicle security fuse. You will need somebody to help you check the circuit and a test light or multimeter.
