E-Bay Alert

ATTENTION: E-Bay Alert

If you are looking purchasing a Fasctory Service Manual (FSM) for your vehicle on E-Bay. Be advised that one individual that sells there has been taking money of buyers and not sending the merchandise. He will say that he will send, and he will give you track numbers that are no good. I purchased a FSM over 30 days ago, yet to see it or my money. The ID of this seller is Gurupapa66. He/She had another ID Missanne101. The real name of the guy listed is Ron Schmitz from Dubuque, IA. He has a “business” called Ntense Inc. If you go to E-Bay and see that ID gurupapa66, you will see numerous negative complaints in the last month for this activity. You decide, but I would seriously recommend against it.

What they do on ebay is take the files (probably off the internet in the first place or through some other illegal source like "borrowed" from a dealership or shop) and make an illegal copy of the CD and charge you for it. If there has to be illegal activity anyway, why pay for it? Or you could spend the $100 or so for the real thing. When Nissan gives people money for the knock sensors they have replaced, money for the coils that break on the 99s, and a good fix for the VIAS that wear after 40k then I will worry about nissan losing some money on eFSMs.

Anyway this thread is going to be anyway or moved to a buyer/seller response so oh well.

I bought a CDROM FSM for my 05' and the guy came through. It was cheap and it is awesome. I just print out any part I want! I have used ebay a lot. You have to check feedback thoroughly and any feedback that has a negative ratio of more than one negative in 100 auctions should be cause for concern.

The service manual is on the web and legal. You can get it off of Nissan's site. Doens't get much more legal than that.

Is it free? I think the issue is people trying to get copyrighted material for free or a lot less by questionable means.
