Fast Bulbs
Fast Bulbs
Was wondering, when the blinkers are blinking faster than normal what exactly does that mean?
I have some 12 LED bulbs that I tried out with my GenIIs and it looks sick blinking, but it makes then blink faster than normal, is this due to the bulb consuming more power than normal? or something else?
thanks

I put in 24 led bulbs for turn signals they look sick and they blink really fast, but the other day a cop stopped me, and guess what he gave me a ticket for....supposedly having strobes as turn signals i told him they were led bulbs; he still gave me the ticket anyway. So thats what i got for putting the lights. But one thing i do tell you , is I get stopped a lot not by cops but by other people asking me where i got the lights from. At a maxima meet i had like 3 people approach me, asking me where i got my lights.
damn, I'm going to keep the LE bulbs, I dont think I'll get pulled over and ticket but if so I'll show
them that they are not strobes, but if I get pulled over a lot I'll buy some regular bulbs but why buy
regular bulbs if I already have some that work just fine.
My issue is they blink too fast, is this something all LED bulbs used in tail lights do? or specfic
types/brands/amount of leds?

You need a load resistor in the circuit.

this is what they look like
my bulbs almost look just like the ones on super bright

I dont know if mine are 1156 or 1157 but which would result in slow blinking?
maybe mine arent from super bright and dont have the load resistor in it, I'll try runing them for a while, and next time I have some xtra $$ saved I'll up to 18 or 19 what ever number bulb it is, and hope those slow blink

I've seen so many cars with those "blinkers" which blinks noticeably fast that it almost looks as if they are strobing. I personally think they're "ricey" since I've seen them on tons of Civics...not saying that whatevers on civics = ricey, but you get the idea...(ex. altezzas, huge spoilers)
