stick vs.auto

The only possible downside I can think of is that on a Japanese car, it's pretty undersirable on the used market i.e. even worse trade-in. If you intend on keeping the vehicle, then it's not an issue. Our discussions are really pretty tame, the bottom line is what you like. If you need to smoke, talk on the cell, do your make-up, and watch a dvd while you're driving, an auto is much more convenient. You want to see a real debate, take a look at the SMG vs. 6-spd on a BMW forum.....

Until I have my left leg amputated I have no desire for an auto. Even holiday traffic in Manhattan when it takes 1 1/2 hours to get to Jersey from 9th and 51st (14 blocks) through the Lincoln Tunnel doesn't bother me and my 5-spd. Ain't it.......
