UPRD ECU *latest news*
#1
The order from UPRD was placed with their sales department and i should have a 96 ECU to test within the next two weeks, this just buys more time for those who have emailed me about buy but don't have the money, so woo hoo.
Other good news is that UPRD has sent a few 2k Maxima ECUs to Japan for race development, and should have an ECU for 2k Maximas within the near future! coolio!
UPRD has a few SEMA shows coming up, so they'll be rushing our (my) test scheduling. so hopefully we won't have to wait any longer for results.
i've gotten 6 orders for the ecu and a few for the techtom MDM. so for the really good deal of $425, we'll need quite a few buyers. FOr those with 97s, or wish to just have this mod done on a separate ECU, i suggest contacting your local Nissan Junkyard and looking for a 96 SE ECU with the same tranny type as yours (auto/5spd). UPRD is in the process of finding ecus themselves.. hence the delay.
For those with 99s, doesn't look too good, but we'll be testing it with a 96 ecu, but the 99 ecu is more or less a 'hybrid' mixture of the 98 ecu with a 00 ecu, so many of the components might not work properly with the 96 ecus.
Nabil had scanned the clayton dynos, which can be seen:

"independent" Dynojets will be tested on the car by UPRD at a local dynojet shop, if not at JWT. (who i might add have been cooperating with UPRD very nicely)
to clear up any more confusion on the baseline tests, Nabil's car was running with:
Stillen Hi-Flow Intake, Stillen Ypipe, and a Straight thru "APEX DUNK" type muffler, and 92 premium fuel.
a detailed ECU REMOVAL writeup will be posted soon, but a really really vague instruction was posted by BIOMAX a while back, which can be read at:
http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~cchiu1/ecu.html
Thanks! and keep looking for new updates.

p.s. I need production numbers for the 4th gen maximas, if anyone has the production numbers and/or dates of the years, PLEASE contact me!..

I'm working on the 1999 CA/NLEV ECU ->
We will be the group that's going to get left out, so I'm working with Autothority on this. I would imagine the 99 CA/NLEV is more close to the 2K than the 98. Autothority is currenty working on getting the correct hardware.
