You need to try that in the 1/4 mile.

The closest max to you in power output is pushing 263whp (or 270whp depending on which you trust). But he still has stock cams and no internal work done. He did it work on his Intake Manifold though.

That thing must seriously haul ***.

Just curious what that Altima has on it, is it on stock fuel maps, or altering such as SR20DEN?

Traction with that is probably non-exsistent on that poor 96 . . . We want pics, it's obvious. . . . When can we expect them? What was the total cost? hope you're fror real.

Yeah i kno, and i onlee spell how i pronounce, sorry, english , isnt my 1st language. Thats wut i thought, i should hab gotten more HP than that, thats why now im gonna reprogram my ECU, i rewerked my 3.0 ECU, the car runs great and all all the way to 7200 RPM, it has lots of mid and hi RPM power, it feels like its saying go higher, whe n i seee the needle swing fastly to 7200, im sure the components can go a bit higher, i mean the poewr is all round low 2 mid, but it really cooks @ 4200 up, there is like a notacable extra feel when it gets there and higher, maybe im not going hi enough RPM 2 find its true power rating?

I used a kit to bring up oil pressure, volume, since i wanted 2 rev higher, changed out the stock water pump for a more performance oriented one, and new timing chains and dampers and tensioner, ported and planned the heads and put new oil vained rods. Bought up the compression to 11.15:1, new gaskets and head bolts and headers, engine oild cooler and bigger radiator with slimmer fans. Sounds costlly , yeah but actually it wasnt. Also i wanted to fabricate a mounting plate to put the 300ZX dual throttle intake manifold but , the clearance wasnt waut i wanted, so i custom bent and fabricated , my own high volume upper manny with 2 throttle bodies, one for frunt 3 cylinders and 1 for the rear 3 cylinders.using the stock TPS ish no prob and few mods for the IACV is needed , the onlee thing was now i had 2 intake throttle bodies and onlee 1 MAFM(mass air flow meter. well since i was going to modiffy the programming of my computer, i basically got the computer to interpuret the reading frum the air meter as doubled, to acknowledge the right air intake.Besides that tho i reused alt and comp brackets frum my VQ30 engine and such accesories like that i basically used frum my old engine. Oo pics are soon 2 be displayed. The big test was can the tranny handle it? Well i had beffed it up with stuff i got or had lying around frum a wrecked 02 SE(engine frunt cover ect smashed) It did for the Dyno which turned a 287.45 HP @ 7100RPM the wheels(All Import Dyno Testers) and 278 lbs TQ. Hmm we figured a better of 300 hp if just @ engine, i was kinda upset i guessed 4 more HP, but ill just go bak and tinkle wif my ECU programming, but 4 sum reason my 3rd gear seems to hab stripped out. It NO LONGER WERKS!!, Wuts this, well i am using a slightlly beefed up 3.0 SE tranny. Wut should i do?????

No that was on the Altima forums. Ask around there if you want (He did not touch the block, but worked alot on his upper end, cams & IM and all, that is what I remember). But Considering Sr20 got 263whp without a highflow cat, with stock cams, stock ecu (that I know of) and his wheels weren't exactly the lightest around, either, 280whp figures are not that outrageous, even though they are strictly boosted territory for now.

full motor swap = a vq35 with everything functional on it, and maybe + ecu and the engine harness too... like the other guy here did some time ago. I personally do not see how VI would work with that garden hose going into its location.

if you look closelly, the IAC is in the power valve location. He modified the 02 TB to work, and it uses a linkage. Since on the 02 cars the TB acts like a IAC, there had to be a normal IAC installed somewhere on the plenum for it to idle right. IAC hooks up to the metered section of the intake tubing, where metered air ( from the MAF) goes through, then to the IAC. If you ran the IAC disconnected you end up with a nasty vacuum leak, and also end up with a pretty lean condition- this is if you left the hose off, and not ran it from post MAF.

It's indirect info from someone pulling numbers out of his butthole. Without proof it means nothing. I hear the same story from other Altima drivers and NONE of them ever can produce any results to backup their claims.

Tilley and I at least offer some sort of proof as to what we have done.

I'd bet on it, once SR20DEN finalizes his R&D and starts selling it to recoup the time/work/money put into it.

It should be well worth the wait and I can't wait to see peoples' numbers.
