i paid $450 for it and its way beyond any form of reasonable repair...

what could they possibly do that would make it worse than it is now?

He doesn't live anywhere near NYC though. 400 grand can buy a mansion in rural Montana.

Land (and everything for that matter) is cheaper in the southwest.

well.. the house itself doesn't make it 400k.. look at that pool in the back.. and the upper level being built..

Andy has a nice home.. his was less than $200k.. but he doesn't have the yard and the massive pool

man they must have jacked up the prices, I went to scottsdale last august, and the most I saw was a house for 300K... I went to one of the realtors out there and told me they are having a buzz from the Cali peeps moving in. So I guess they raised their prices.

based on that article they posted.. that house has more going on that you can just see from the pictures..

i would expected it to have more land in the front and on the side.. but it seems most of the happenings is in the rear of the property..

It is a patio home, which means it is attached (or very close to it) to another home and shares common elements with the surrounding properties. That pool is most likely a pool for the entire subdivision. That does mean it is not worth $400,000. Scottsdale has some crazy a$$ expensive homes ( I know, I am a Real Estate Appraiser).

As far as no homes above $300,000 in Scottsdale, that is BS. Take a look at the following chart, and keep in mind that the price listed is for LAND ONLY. BTW, the median home price in North Scottsdale is $435,000
