I put together a screensaver made of pictures of peoples' Max's from maxima.org using the Eyetide screensaver software.

Right now there's 29 pictures (about 25 cars). It's pretty cool. You can click on the caption button and find out who's car it is and what mods they have, for most pictures.

Best part is, it downloads new pictures over the net everyday, so if people send me good pics of their Max's (640x480 or larger, the larger the better), then I can add them and they'll start showing up on everyone's screensavers.

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. And send me high res pics of your rides if you want me to add them. A mod list and URL of your website is good too.

It's a small download for the software, if you go to this URL you can download it and it'll automatically set you up for maxima.org pictures.

Very nice. . . I sent you an email, or at least I hope I did I tried to use the .org's email link and it just gave me a way to message you. Anyway it looks real good and I hope one of my pics makes it onto the SS. BTW, if you didn't get the email, click on the homepage this under may name and choose any of the pics I have on my site, it also has a list of mods.

Yeah, we do.. it's cool seeing the new partners we get.. hopefully it'll be profitable soon. BTW, how'd you know I work there? I was trying not too come off like I was pushing the company, as I really just saw a cool opportunity to use what I work with to do look at Maximas!

If you right click on the Eyetide icon in the task bar (it looks like a blue swirl) an select 'Check for New Images...' it'll download more. There's a limit to how many you can get each day, but you can do it a few times to start. Probably enough to get all of them. Each day it'll get some more on its own.

emax95, do you have any higher res pics of your max? I'd use your sig pic, but when expanded to fullscreen it'd be really pixelated. If worst comes to worst, I can put a black border around it so it doesn't get expanded. It'll be small (i.e. not fill the whole screen), but it's better than nothing. But a high res pic would be the best.

[b]metallic97gxe[\b]I popped in yours too. The image was somewhat smaller than 640x480 so I put some black border around it to keep it from getting too pixelated. I used the mod list from your sig, if you want something different, send me the list but please try and make it like <= 4 lines so I can fit it all.

Personally, I'm thinking as many high quality pics as possible. Just more to look at.

On a tangent, a friend of mine was the first Wired employee. When I was working in the valley, I dealt with Louis and Jane a couple times, but nothing major. How are they doing? What are they up to? Are they at Fusient?

Hehe.. Maxim wasn't interested in doing it! Fools! But we're working on other 'image providers'. Someone could make their own hottie screensaver though.

I think the exteriors only are fine. While some people have cool interiors and engines, there are only so many superchargers and dash kits you can see, I am not saying these are the only things we would see but that is what I see happening. . . You may say the same is true with the cars, but at least we get different places the car is taken at that adds something different to each car.

looks good, all except for one thing.. once you get all the pics added, ( mine is already in there, hehe) then maybe a pic of all of the max's together, with the Maxima.Org signature, and maybe some kinda logo in the middle near the bottom.. i dunno.. "Got Maxima?" lol

I don't know a lot about this car, but it does have a N/A blueprinted engine making 280 hp I think. These picutres are quite big (~1.3 megs each and 800x600).

I really like the screensaver! Great idea!
I also agree with Adidas_Boy, you should probably just stick with exterior shots.

Hey, how do I get the new pictures? when I download pictures, I get scenery and flowers and stuff like that. help me out.

Make sure you're subscribed to the maxima.org collection by going to the URL in my sig.

Then go to the categories menu, expand all the dropdown menus and make sure to unselect everything except for maxima.org Images (unless you decide you want them).

Then download new images.. you should just get maxima images instead of the others. A few of the old ones might be left over, but all new ones should be maxima.org.
