I was gonna attempy rebuiling my own drive axles. I dont thin it'll be a toughy, but jsut need a few pointers. So I just pull the axles, take off the old boots, clean the axle, replace with new boot and grease right? Any more details could help. Also where should I go to get the parts? Thanks

First of all, I would buy at the very least a Chilton's or Haynes service manual for your car. Second of all, nothing when working on cars is as easy as it seems. Study the manuals, and then decide if this is something you want to attempt.

If your CV's are worn (the knuckles) you will need to replace them to, and its very extensive. Its MUCH easier to either Buy rebuilt ones (www.raxles.com) sells rebuilds with NEW knuckles, you send them the old one when you've replaced them...they run about $130 each side for the full axle from tranny to hub.

The thing about having someone else rebuild your CV's is that if the knuckles need to be replaced, they may not do it, and you won't know it until they start making noise.. THe trick is that with new grease, even noisy CV's can be quieted for a few weeks.

You don't want to do this twice, I would do it right the first time.
