I have a black 95 SE that I bought brand new a few years ago The first thing I did when I bought my car was to get tinting and, don't laugh, I also got a gold package.
Now after a long 6 years the front and rear emblems look like ****. I was thinking about restoring them to the original silver color or paining them black to match the body color. I would prefer not to 'shave' them.
Anybody have experience coloring or restoring these the emblems and letters?

It might look cool if you took the letters and stuff off, painted them flat black and then put em on.

I just ouwldnt try to paint them while still on the car.

What type of paint would work? What are the emblems made of, is it high quality genuine plastic?

Yeah, its plastic. Just be sure to sand first and use plenty of coats of non-glossy clear coat.

Coloured emblems look great, us 5th gen SE owners have smoked rear badges.

Another approach you can take is shave them off and try to make moulds to make others that you can really screw up. You could also try ordering replacement badges from a dealer and painting those, easier than making molds and you don't have to massacre your Max.

Hey, that's a great idea. I might think about colormatching my emblems and trim, too. BTW, I like your sig. It made me want to cry.

Why don't you just buy new ones from Nissan?

If you want a used silver ones, I'll sell you my front & rear amberger emblems for 20 smacks. You'll have to retape em yourself.
