take it off, spray with brake parts cleaner and use a rag to get all the crap off, use an old toothbrush to clean the small areas. Hose it down with water, wipe it dry with another towel. Now use some Eagle1 or Mothers or any of those Aluminum polish things. I think the one I have is the Eagle1, it's a chrome/black smal bottle with what seems to be unprocessed cotton inside. They got em at Discount. Anyways, use that on the strut bar, wait a minute, then wipe it down with a dry cloth... You're done!

Come again? My old cheapo Courtesy bar was alumin. And my 5gen fstb from Otto is also alumin. The end brackets are steel however.

Any brand of aluminum/metal polish will work. If you don't like using elbow grease, get a polishing wheel for your electric drill and try that. Shiny metal in seconds.

Well the one I got from the sh!tty company(CM) is steel. Really though, it makes since to have these made of steel due to Aluminum's flexy properties.
