I went to the import challenge today and got only one run in due to the event raining out. Anyways the only mod I have is a stillen intake. I ran a best of 15.55@91.2 stock with gutted trunk and 22lbs front tires. The only difference this time was 5 degrees timing advance, the stillen intake, and I removed the pass. and rear seat. I feel that I will be running a 15.1 within a week or so, b/c I got a free pass from the rainout, and I spun my tires a little too much on my launch and I hit the rev limiter in first gear before my shift. My car was feeling really strong today. Here are my new times(stock times):
r/t .928 (.835)
60' 2.454(2.500)
330' 6.538(6.704)
1/8 9.916(no time)
mph 72.46(no mph)
1000' 12.823(13.078)
1/4 15.268(15.554)
mph 92.89(91.20)
I am kinda surprised that on the only run I got this while it took me 8 runs last time to get a 15.5 with 2 15.6's.
I have a WSP Y on order, and with that and a little more practice I am pretty sure 14's aren't far......

Did Johnny and Matt get a run in? Did they even go? Once you get that Y put on Sam, you'll be in, if not really close...

Jonny probably is hating life at the moment. He drove up and paid $35 for him and his gf, got in line, waited, waited, and waited, and never got a run in before they declared it a rain out. SIR sucks b/c there is no refunds even if you don't get to run. They gave him a voucher thats good for 2 weeks so maybe he can get his times if he comes up next weekend. They had a dry track for a while but they said that they wanted to wait to see if rain would come or not rather than run the cars when you can. People were driving up and down the track to try to dry things out(including Jonny) and then they never got to go. They probably only ran 30 races or so all day. As far as matt goes, he went once and I think he got a 16.9 at a little over 80. mike(dirksmoothe)got 16.4, and blumax got a 16.2. Yep I am excited about getting that Y on.

16.9 is that normal for a stock 97 auto?? Seems a little high. Too bad Johnny didn't get a chance to run. I'm guessing he'd definetly hit mid to low 14's easily.

well you gotta consider it was his first time to the track. He didn't get off the line that fast.

I might have to take a lil trip down to Seattle in that case. I'm due for another vacation anyway.

Good job Czar. Those are some damn good times for a 3rd gen! A stock 4th gen running 16's? Wow, that is pretty weird. Well... i do realize it was his first run. My first run ever was a 16.5. 10 passes later i am running a 15.5 with a CAI and chrome rims. You guys will only get better. It sucks about them not refunding $$$, Englishtown by me doesnt refund either but they have to give you at lesat 3 runs, if not, they will give you a raincheck.
