Ok the accord guys kept telling me there cars were slow even turboed I said surely they have made it into the 6's on 0-60. Nope take a look at this article an hks turbo v-6 accord ran a 7.1 0-60 and a 15.5 1/4 mile at 87.2mph. Dang the accords are pretty slow.

Could be traction and tranny problems....

the article does mention the trans is acting up, but I'm just guessing, since +45hp should give you a little more than .3-.4 seconds off your ET!? it also says they are still in the process of final tuning. I think that infamously ugly 600hp '00 Celica GTS which I saw a few weeks ago in some magazine was only pulling high 13's to low 14's because of traction probs as well...there is also a guy around my way with a boosted Supra, rumor has it he's running 20+psi(and the car sure does sound like it is running high boost), but he can't break out of 13's and low 14's because of too much tire spin...

I've driven the 4 & 6 cylinders, the 6 is a lot better; I currently have a 4 cylinder accord and I can definitly say that is incredibly slow, but I love a car I can just beat on and when I mess up it doesn't matter cuz its a honda... like yesterday i wasn't paying attention & was trying to get around this guy and accidently shifted at 7500, and it like redlines at like 6000 or something; ikes, thank god its a honda hahahah..... They aren't really made for speed (accords), but mods are like unlimited for em....

In the August 1999 SCC mag, they did an article on this too. This was done after Motortrend tested it too. Here is what SCC had to say.

"Despite the lack of snap in its shifts, the indolent transmission didnt destroy the Accord's straight line acceleration numbers. We had Strauss drive the car for our q-mile testing, figuring his added seat time in the car would produce the best results. Strauss managed at 14,4@98.4mph during our test session"-SCC. This was on 18 inch rims too. The stock Accord ran a 16.2@85.7 for comparison.
