umm...do you mean clean the intake or the filter...i guess you're talking about the filter...if its a K&N just go to your local parts store and buy a K&N cleaning kit...it'll cost you $15-$20 but it will last a long time....

You need the K&N cleaner and filter oil sprays. They come as a kit or separately. Most major auto stores have it.
What you do is first put the filter under the tap and rinse the excess dirt away from inside out (don't let the water run INTO the filter so as to force dirt into the inside of the cone). Then spray thoroughly with K&N cleaner (I think it's just relabeled Fantastic or 409 but hey, whatever...) and let sit for a few minutes. Then rinse from inside out again (i.e. let water fill the inside of the cone). Then you need to leave the cone out to dry for a few hours (do this on a sunny day). After the cone is dry, reoil with the K&N oil and reinstall your intake.
The same directions are included with the K&N cleaner kit.
