Infinity M30/20 - 2-door third gen?
#1
I saw an Infinity M30 (or was it an M20?) on the freeway today - it looked like a third gen Maxima, but with 2 doors. The front 2/3 looked like a Max in my rear view mirror, and as it passed I could see that it had a way different rear end than the Maxes of the era.
If the powertrain is the same, that car could have potential!
Amybody seen one of these before or modded one up?

That's a rare car... also lacks in power. I forget what motor is in there.

M30s have mega potential!!! -->
Get this. 200+hp VG30 300z engine. I mean it uses the same intake manifolds off the 300z, not the restrictive maxima type. RWD w/ independant rear suspension. 2-doors. Basicly a RWD,2-door maxima. So anything you can do w/ the Z, you can do w/ this car. Hmm VG-T bolt in, or maybe a TT conversion?? Hmm R200 LSD rear end w/ 4.11 gears?? True dual exhaust w/ X-pipe is easy. Headers?? bolt in.. If they weren't so boxy and ugly(to me), I'd probably be modding one right now. Hard to find a clean manual version though and they are a little on the heavy side.

RWD?! Wow - that could be fun. To bad the rear end is ugly as hell! The owner of the one I saw pretty much let this one go - it needed a new paint job. It was pretty filthy too... i bet it needed work.
But it was interesting to see. I really thought it was a third gen Max from my rearview mirror.

I've seen a bunch of those around....
They are pretty decent for a car that was discontinued in like 92 or 93.... they got a 3.0 V6 , I think carpoint said it bangs out 160 hp.... sounds like a VG to me, no idea if its a rear or front wheel drive.

Sorry... I was thinking of the wrong car (Infinity G20). Errr.. I need to stop drinking, memory is going bad.
