Screaching Window

Hey everyone,

My rear passenger side window has developed an awful screach (finger nail chaulk board type sound) Anyone have any idea the cause or the possible solution to this?

Thanks in Advance
Robert.

mine did and i ended up taking off the door panel and looked at it with a mirror and realized the metal wire that rolls up and pulls the window was off it's track scraping against the other parts. i basically just pushed it over back to where it was supposed to be and it fixed the problem. i had tried grease and all types of crap and that's what ultimately worked. hope this helps and goodluck!

you could try to spray some silicone lube down the window tracks. they tend to get dry over time and cause that annoying noise.

Ok I went and lubed the tracks didn't help. REALLY not wanting to pull out my door panel, I decided to peel back the weather stripping and get a better look. There was the problem a nice rock was wedged between them. Pulled the rock and all is well.

Thanks for the help
Robert.
