Converting INJEN into a Short Ram...

Would shortening the INJEN CAI (yeah right) to something similar to a short-ram intake increase throttle response and return some of the low-end power? I've been contemplating shortening mine. Just brainstorming. Inputs welcome.

Since you have the intake, do it and report back on your results.

Ah bankers holidays

Are you still using the filter that came with Injen? A short-ram intake will normally decrease low-end power though. Its mainly due to the air being sucked in at such a high rate at lower rpms that it creates turbulance. The longer tubing is suppost to smooth out that turbulance and enhances velocity at lower-rpms.

Banker's holliday's my ****. I'm in the military and definitely put in my hours. When they give me a day off, I take it without hesitation.

No, it won't. It might actually suck warmer air than it was before. That would decrease performance. Go back to stock midpipe(w/ pr cai pipe or just regular intake) it you want increased throttle responce.
