i was using touch up paint to fix some scratches and it looks like crap...dont use this stuff cause it will make your look worse. does anybody know how to remove it? also, is there another cheap alternative to cover up scratches, i will be pating the car soon but i need a temp fix. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Same Here

I DID THE SAME THING WITH MY MAXIMA. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED AND THIS GUY HAD DONE IT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. I THEN TRIED TO SMOOTH THEM OUT BUT IT STILL DOES NOT LOOK THAT GREAT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO RECOMMEND. LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GET MINE LOOKING BETTER.

Try a clay bar, it may work if the touchup paint is not too old.

you could try wet-sanding and then some paint and polish compounds to try and cover it up...I would try wet-sanding then use Meguiar's Heavy-cut Cleaner compound and then give it a polish. This kind of job is usually best left to a very good and experienced detailer, you can do more harm than good if you are inexperienced!
