does 5th gen knock sensor fit 4th gen

i jus pulled a knock sensor off of a 03 maxima, i wanted to know will it fit the 4th gen.

i checked the stickies but couldnt find anything, and i really didnt want to slice my hand up before gettin some advice. it looks the same but the harness may be off, ay idea?

will it fit?

why would yu wan to put a 5th gen knock sensor in a 4th gen what would be the point of it and its also probably not work different engines and prob diff levels of computer detecting knock

I believe hte 3.0 are the same, I don't know about hte 3.5

Well Tilley used the 3.5 knock sensor when he sawpped his VQ35DE in. The 3.5KS works for sure with the 3.0 ECU, but that was on a 3.5. Dunno if it would work on a 3.0 with 3.0 ECU.

i found a 5.5 gen at a yard and when i was askin about prices on the rest of the engine and i saw the knock sensor attached and i asked how much, and he said jus take it so i did. i need a knock sensor so i figured i'd take it lol its free. i just wanted to see if it fits, not lookin for some performance mod, jus a workin sensor.
