All he has to do is do t and don't blow the engine. 121mph is going to be extremely hard to beat.

not really, but everyone seems to think the motor is the weak link. Its all about tuning considering both Maximas trapping 120+ are on a stock motor. Mardi will destroy this time once he gets the 3.5 bottom end in. Im not going to continue to go OT in this thread so i will leave it at that...

10.99 requires some crazey safety equipment . SFI scatter shield, aftermarket axles (need anyways) and a few more items. As of now to compete in sanctioned events and even at most tracks when you run 11.49 or faster you need a 8pt roll bar, fire proof jacket etc. I'd like to see 10's on slicks, then I can take the slicks off and work on the street tire set up.

Make a trip to NC, you can run 10's in reverse if you wanted too, with the sunroof open and arm out the window in a t-shirt.

That's exactly what I was telling him the other day. You can run a 2.0 in an old Pickemup truck, no tailgate, the back full of rednecks, dogs and beer cans at Rockingham and they won't say a word to you.

Matt and Matt, I'm going to be in NC in August but it might be to hot for me to run down there. Either way, I'll be down there.

We can hit up the track then if you want. Hopefully I'll have the piece up and running again in that timeframe. Shoot me a pm when your heading down here so we can set something up.

Hahahaha!!!!!! Yup, that's how it will be from here on in when Matt heads to tracks that haven't seen what a modded Max can do.

That's half the fun. Mardi needs to line up against a stock Viper. It would be hilarious.

BTW, how fast was the stang? When I was up against a 95 GT last year the guy said he'd leave me a 1/8 mile headstart.

And let's say that these cars cost slightly more than what it cost Mardi to get there.

I doubt the owner of any one of those cars could give two ***** if a Maxima beat them in a straight line. Well excluding the Viper which isn't in the same class as the others listed.

You know what a good 1/4 race would be? This would somehow exist on a 3 lane drag strip...
Left lane- Mardi
Center- F50
Right- Hal/Neal's car

HA!

bwaaahahah you guys are funny. True, Mardi's max would probably beat any of those cars in a 1/4 mile race but try racing anyone of those cars from a roll. Sooner or later, you will run out of gear and they will keep pulling and pulling. lol

I witnessed a dsm hang with a viper from 40-150? and after that the viper pulled away like crazy becuase the talon was already at redline in 5th. hehe.

With stock rev limiter we run out of gear at like 158-161, with 7000 its more like 168-171 going from memory.

ok, sroory to ask this, but out of curiousity (the answer is most liketly yes)

do oyu have LSD, if not would that hel alot more, well I do belive you have, or else you car wouldn't be able to pull as fast.... (I dunno)

BTW you just brought out the love for modding that I lost when I crashed my car a few weeks ago.... soon I will start with my new maxima.
