Rattle solutions...more

I know most of this is just common sense, but I thought I'd share anyway.
I thought my car was just starting to fall apart because of all the racket it makes when I go over bumps. Part of it is the low supension, but still. So I checked a few things and it made a world of difference.
Make sure your spare, jack and tool kit are very secure.
The two spring rods that hold the trunk open can bang together, so tape them tightly to one another with some duct tape.
Tape the top edge of the trunk liner trim to the metal around it.
Take all the crap out of your console, dash pockets, glove box, and door pockets.
Viola....quieter max...

yea. But what i did is take almost the entire dash apart and lined all the body panels such as a/c vents dash trim etc. with soft felt tape purchased from courtesy nissan. Now every time i go over a bump on the road, the car feels much more solid as there are almost no rattles. But i'm not done yet. When it's done, there will be NO rattles.

Hmm, on my 3rd gen I haven't had much in the way of rattles, except for one, which I think is the passenger side window. Whenever I hit a bump it makes a nasty harsh but brief rattle. If I recall correctly, dampening it by pressing on the window with your hand silenced it. Not sure how to silence that one permanently.
