Jdm

Im going to admit ahead of time that i am stupid, i even tried to figure this out using search engines and stuff but no luck so i have to ask this question.

What does JDM mean? I know there are products with their name on it, is it any different than the OEM product? Flame me if you must, but i couldnt figure it out so i will take my beating accordingly.

I depends on the car make man, most of time when you hear JDM it's somthing for a civic, and the japanese motor (B16) is way better than what we have here.

See, the Japanese auto makers usually don't send their best stuff to the U.S. So many enthusiasts here like to get JDM-spec engines and parts because, for certain models, they are better than the U.S.-spec parts. Also, the Japanese cars that are sold in the U.S. are actually styled differently in Japan, so many people like to get JDM parts to make their cars look like the Japanese version.
