rip in the Y-pipe question

i hit a some 2X4 wood on highway and it hit the bottom of my car pretty hard and i started to hear some rattle underneath and vibration when i give gas usually in first gear or WOT....

and i looked under and i saw my flex section was rip or opened little...

will it cause some noise underneath?

if so any way to fix it other then replacing it?

thanks in advance...

Get aftermarket headers/ypipe. Noise will go away and you will get 25hp.

so the noise is due to rip in the flex section of the Y-pipe?

i just didn't want to replace the y-piple if that was not the cause of the noise...

You can go to a muffler shop, they usually have flex sections available which they can weld into place.

What header/Y pipe setup gives you 25hp?
